WHY GO BROWN WHEN YOU CAN BE GREEN?
What does it mean going brown and being green?
Piedmont Pride is on the right and Empire Zoysia is on the left. The photo is taken in February and illustrates what happens to zoysia in the winter. It goes brown. Choose Piedmont Pride for year round green color
Summer grasses go dormant in our area and when they do so they go brown for the winter. Our cool season grasses don't do that. Our cool season grasses stay green all year, especially in the winter. That is what we mean by being green.
Choosing Piedmont Pride, Piedmont Pride Plus, RTF, or Blue Heat will result in a beautiful year round lawn that will not go brown in the winter.
- Cool season grasses stay green year round
- Cool season grasses do not go brown
- Piedmont Pride, RTF, and Blue Heat all are green throughout the winter
- Warm season grasses go brown in the winter
