What is so great about Blue Heat?

Blue Heat is a new turfgrass for the south. It will tolerate the sun, heat, and the humidity of the south. It can be mowed to a two inch mowing height and it will spread and fill in very well. It is a special bluegrass which people for the north are used to having in their lawns. Ask for Blue Heat by name.

What is a cool season grass?

Cool season grasses are those grasses which grow best during the fall, winter, and spring. The best soil temperature for root growth is 50 to 65 degrees F and the best air temperature for top growth is 60 to 75 degrees F. These grasses are green year round and have the capacity to go dormant in the summer. The cool seasons grasses that are used in the Carolinas are Tall Fescue, Bluegrass, Bentgrass, and Perennial Rye.
